Introducing the estate:
The Bache Gabrielsen cognac house was founded by Thomas Bache Gabrielsen of Holmestrand in 1905.
Several generations later, the company is still run by the Bache Gabrielsen family, by Thomas Bache Gabrielsen's great-grandson, Hervé Bache Gabrielsen.
He recently took over the day-to-day management from his father, Christian Bache Gabrielsen.
Presentation of the cuvée:
Aged for over a year in oak barrels, the Pineau rouge Bache-Gabrielsen is like an explosion of freshly picked red berries on the nose.
On the palate, it is generously fruity with blackcurrants, blackberries and cherries, with a touch of spice and with hints of vanilla from the aging wood.
The finish has with aromas of pomegranate.
