Introducing Maison Lhéraud

📜 Since 1680, the Lhéraud family has been cultivating 85 hectares of vineyards (Ugni Blanc, Colombard, Folle Blanche) in Angeac, at the heart of the Petite Champagne cru — renowned for its roundness, floral finesse (notably violet), and aging potential. The eaux-de-vie are aged in five vaulted cellars built from blond stone, exclusively in Limousin oak barrels, without reduction or additives, to preserve the purity and authenticity of the terroir.

About the Lhéraud 1994 Petite Champagne Vintage

🥃 This 1994 Petite Champagne Vintage is a remarkable single-cru cognac, produced from a single harvest and aged uninterrupted for nearly 30 years. It is bottled at 48% ABV and presented in a signature Lhéraud wooden case. Its deep amber color with copper highlights reflects careful aging and outstanding quality.

🗒️ Tasting Notes

  • Nose: powerful, dominated by well-structured tannins, woody notes, vanilla, and a touch of dark chocolate.
  • Palate: smooth and complex, combining caramel, fine spices, dried fruits (hazelnut, almond), with a subtle underlying freshness.
  • Finish: long and warm, with lingering wood, returning vanilla and chocolate notes — persistent and well-balanced.

🖇️ Food Pairings & Tasting Suggestions

  • Neat: enjoy at room temperature in a tulip glass to fully release its concentrated aromas.
  • Gourmet pairings: pairs beautifully with dark chocolate, walnut tart, aged cheese, or dried fruits for a perfect match.
  • Refined digestif: ideal for savoring at the end of a meal or to mark a special occasion.
