La Poste temporarily suspends shipments to the United States

Why this suspension?
U.S. authorities are ending the duty-free exemption that previously allowed low-value parcels (under USD 800) to be shipped without complex formalities. From now on, each commercial shipment must be declared and may be subject to customs duties.
La Poste, like other European postal operators, has chosen to temporarily suspend these shipments in order to update its procedures and prevent any risk of delays or unexpected fees for customers.
A situation under review
U.S. authorities have not yet published all practical details of this new regulation. Carriers must adjust their systems to:
- accurately declare each parcel upon entry into the United States;
- determine how duties and taxes will be calculated;
- clarify whether the sender or the recipient will be responsible for payment.
These adjustments require a few weeks of work before services can return to normal.
What does this mean for our American customers?
- Orders already placed: all have been shipped and are not affected by this suspension.
- New orders: U.S. ordering has been temporarily disabled as a precaution, while we work on finding solutions to serve all our customers.
Our commitment
- Transparency: we keep you updated in real time through our website and social media;
- Close monitoring: we are working directly with La Poste to track progress and are exploring alternative solutions;
- Responsiveness: as soon as official confirmation of service resumption is received, U.S. orders will reopen immediately.
