Courtin & fils, a family vineyard handed down from father to son

A family estate of over 35 hectares, the Courtin vineyard is located in the heart of the Grande Champagne region.

For 8 generations, the Courtin family has cultivated its Charente land. Their great-grandparents began making and marketing Cognac and Pineaux des Charentes. Later, their son (and father of the current owner) took over to develop the family business.

A few years ago, Sébastien Courtin proudly took up the torch. Today, he works with his family to ensure the continuity of this precious heritage.

A totally controlled process and quality eaux-de-vie

The Courtin vineyard produces quality eaux-de-vie, aged in oak barrels for several years. The entire process is mastered by the estate, from vineyard maintenance to distillation and bottling.

The estate is HVE-3 certified, which means it favors practices that respect the environment and promote biodiversity. In addition, traditional techniques are used to preserve the authentic flavours of the grape varieties.

Encountering Grande-Champagne

The vineyard also offers atypical tours of part of Grande Champagne. Let yourself be seduced by the Charentais terroir, and schedule a visit to the winery to discover all the secrets of viticulture. You'll gain access to a veritable ancestral heritage and plunge into the heart of a family tradition. Climb aboard a mythical moped from the 70s for a ride that continues with a tour of the estate and ends with a tasting session.

COGNAC COURTIN VS: VS (Very Special) Cognac, obtained by blending different types of eaux-de-vie aged for 7 years. This type of Cognac is best enjoyed as a long aperitif or cocktail.

COGNAC COURTIN VSOP: This VSOP (Very Special Old Pale) cognac is a 12-year-old single cask. You'll appreciate its fruity taste and rich aroma.

COGNAC COURTIN XO: This XO or "Extra Old" Cognac is produced and bottled on the estate. It is the fruit of a blend of different vintages. Sébastien Courtin personally oversees the ageing of the eaux-de-vie in French oak barrels to extract the purest aromas. Enjoy this Cognac XO as a digestif, at room temperature.
