The Cognac Augier brand was founded in 1643 by a wine merchant. Today, it is considered the oldest active Cognac house and possibly the oldest alcohol brand in the world. In its early days, this brand played a crucial role in rekindling interest in terroirs and grape varieties that were unfairly overlooked, such as the rare Folle Blanche or the discreet Bois Ordinaires cru. In 2013, it was successfully relaunched by the famous French group Pernod Ricard.

The artisanal craftsmanship, honed over centuries, is fully reflected in every drop of Cognac Augier. Traditional distillation, cold filtration, and the complete absence of additives or artificial colorings preserve the balance and aromatic complexity of these eaux-de-vie.

The bottles of Cognac Augier display a charming and elegant design that brilliantly conveys attention to detail and excellence at every stage of their cognac production. The modern rebranding of this venerable house has met with resounding success, winning the hearts of Cognac connoisseurs worldwide.

The Cognac Singulier shines with its uniqueness, not only due to its Fine Champagne heritage, a source of first cru with rich and complex eaux-de-vie, but also because of the use of a rare and unconventional grape variety, Folle Blanche.

The exclusive use of this grape variety in the blend of Singulier results in remarkable aromatic intensity, an experience that most connoisseurs probably have never encountered, given that 98% of Cognacs are made from Ugni Blanc. This rare, forgotten, and extraordinary grape variety was almost entirely wiped out by the phylloxera catastrophe in 1875. Therefore, this selection is unique and highly sought after by Cognac enthusiasts.

Cognac Augier Le Singulier was created using a unique distillation method, a natural process of vinification on fine lees that adds subtle complexity to the flavors. This means that the different aromatic nuances can be appreciated individually, one by one.

This blend reveals an elegant coppery yellow hue. The initial aromas are delicate and refined. When agitated, fruity notes of pear, vineyard peach, and apricot emerge.

On the palate, it delivers a sharp and vibrant initial attack, characteristic of a product without additives, followed by a finely rounded body. An intense fruity depth unfolds, balanced in the finish by subtle woody notes.
