Presentation of the domain:
In 1702, Jacques distils his first harvest in Biard domain which marks the birth of a long family history.
Nowadays, domain is located in Segonzac in the earth of the Grande Champagne 1st cru extends to a bit less than 10 hectares of vines. Vineyard has a unique soil combines with an extraordinary know-how handed down from generation to generation.
Distillation is made at family house by two copper pot stills of 18 and 25 hectoliters which are part of the last made by hand in the region. Distillery provides extremely fine and aromatic eau-de-vie. Becoming less and less usual in the area, Pierre de Segonzac continues to cut distillation manually by nose to obtain a unique taste on each process.
Presentation of the vintage:
This cognac has been aged for an average of 7 years in a dry cellar of Segonzac. During all this period, cognac patiently change in contact with air and wood of the cask. Beautiful golden color in the glass it will gently open in the nose. Take your time during few minutes to relish it.
Aromas are subtle and mellow with hint of apricot, honey and passion fruits. A delicious, fruit-driven artisanal style that displays a long finish. A very pleasant taste with notes of cinnamon and sweet spices.
Haunting and intense for this older VSOP.
