Presentation of the domain:
Push the doors of the domain Tesseron to Châteauneuf-sur-Charente and discover a family treasure: a unique collection of the finest cognacs. The origin of this treasure goes back to the XIXth century, dates to which one Abel Tesseron made the acquisition of this property and began to collect rare and prestigious cognacs. A tradition immortalized by his son and his grandson Alfred, who manages the company today and also possesses prestigious Castle Pontet-Canet, a vineyard of Pauillac classified in 1855.
It is in 1905 when Abel Tesseron creates his own company of cognac, on horseback on two separate domains, the one situated in the region of the Big Champagne ( Boneuil) and the other one Small Champagne (Saint-Surin). At that time, he collects water supply of life, which it keeps preserves carefully in a crypt of the XIIth century. Besides forging him a robust reputation among a connoisseurs' small circle, these inestimable treasures become very appreciated by the big traders in cognac, who use these quality brandies to complete their assemblies.
Presentation of the vintage:
It is the rare jewel of the Tesseron collection of Cognacs, a unique blend of legendary Grande Champagne, the cream of our oldest and rarest stocks, lovingly aged for at least three generations.
All power and finesse, it has a floral bouquet an a rancio - typical of the very best old Cognac - accompanied by cocoa and coffee overtones.
This subtle elixir has an extraordinary long aftertaste, and its lovely amber highlights reflect its very slow ageing. The quintessence of elegance.
