Presentation of the domain :
The Frapin family has been established in the South West of France since 1270, initially as a family wine-growers. Then they becam distillers and have continued in this tradition for 20 generations. They established their headquarters in the Fontpinot Castle at Segonzac.
Today the Frapin estate covers 300 hectares entirely in Grande Champagne, officially listed as Premier Cru de Cognac, of which 200 hectares are planted with the "Ugni-Blanc" grape variety.
The Frapin estate has crumbly, chalky soil, which is identical to the soil in Reims, hence the appellation "Grande Champagne".
Presentation of the vintage :
Color: Mahogany, copper highlights.
Bouquet: Very sweet, complex and subtle old port mixed with the smell of cigar boxes with wood, which appear between 40 and 50 years of age. Concentrated flavors.
Palate: An exceptional length where the flavors blend with subtlety and complexity.
