Cognac Hors d'âge - Painturaud Fréres

Presentation of the estate :

This estate has been in operation since the end of the 19th century. It was in 1934 that Jacques-Guy Painturaud (the second generation) decided to market his own Cognacs and Pineaux des Charentes under his own name to distinguish himself from the major trading houses. He was also one of the first winegrowers in the appellation to market Pineau des Charentes. He was succeeded by his son Jacques. Today, Jacques Painturaud has handed over to two of his four sons, Jean-Philippe and Emmanuel, who continue the family tradition and expertise. 

The entire vineyard (23 hectares) is located in SEGONZAC in the heart of the "Grande Champagne" region.

Presentation of the cuvée :

Hors d'Âge Cognac has the typical colour of a very old cognac: very amber and brilliant. Forty years of patience are needed to obtain a bouquet that is powerful and long on the nose, fresh and light. Smooth and round on the palate, with rich, fully mature fruit and rancio. This velvety cognac offers complexity, subtlety, delicacy and length of flavour.

Delicious with : As an after-dinner drink with dark chocolate.
