Cognac Delamain 1988 Pléiade

Presentation of the domain :

Originating from Ireland, James Delamain chose in 1759 to settle down in France to join forces with Jean-Isaac Ranson, his father-in-law, owner of an old exporting House which has begun at the same time to the first activities of the Cognac. 
The deep roots of the House Delamain, House managed this day by direct descendants of the founder, Patrick Peyrelongue and his cousin Charles Braastad, dive in the origins of the trade of the Cognac and allow it to belong to the oldest names of the region.

Opened to the world and attentive to the respect for the tradition, the successive leaders of the company always presided over the determining operations of the job : purchase of brandies, ageing, blends, reduction, what explains the reliability of the product. Keeping the original character of the old Houses of Cognac, Delamain selects and buys brandies with the owners distillers of the region, with it keeps going mutual reliable relationships.

So Delamain reaches fine brandies of the soil of Big Champagne, only be able to supply the quality and satisfy the requirements of the House.

Presentation of the vintage :

This cognac Delamain 1988 has its origin in a vineyard located in Verrières, in Grande Champagne. It has been distil  by a « bouilleur de cru » and aged in the vintage winery of Delamain during 40 years in Limousin’s oak cask. This vintage has been bottled in 2017.

 Delamain 1988 is available in limited quantity because there are only 260 bottles in the world.

 In the noise : This really old Grande Champagne is characterized by plums aromas, almond paste and a final flavor of leather.

 In the mouth : Delamain 1988 has all the characteristics of the most beautiful Grande Champagne cognacs, it is persistant, full-bodied and rounded.

 This cognac is a reference in terms of age and quality and it is intended  to connoisseurs.
