AE d’Or: The Historic Excellence of Cognac Since 1858

|
A House Founded in 1858Founded in 1858 by Jean-Baptiste Dor in Cognac, AE d’Or is one of the oldest trading houses in the region. Its name comes from the initials of Amédée-Edouard Dor, who developed the brand in 1889 and devoted his life to selecting the finest eaux-de-vie. AE d’Or stands out for preserving old eaux-de-vie, carefully aged in its historic “Paradis” cellar. This unique heritage is now one of the house’s greatest treasures. |
Prestigious TerroirsAE d’Or cognacs come from the most renowned crus of the Cognac appellation: Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, and Fins Bois. These terroirs produce eaux-de-vie of remarkable finesse, ideal for extended aging. The limestone soils encourage the production of elegant cognacs with floral, fruity, and subtly woody aromas, capable of developing remarkable depth over time. |

Aging and the Paradis CellarDistillation is carried out using the traditional method in copper Charentais pot stills. After double distillation, the eaux-de-vie are aged in French oak barrels. The “Paradis” cellar houses some of the house’s oldest eaux-de-vie, sometimes aged for several decades. This extended aging gives AE d’Or cognacs exceptional roundness, complexity, and length on the palate. |
Rare and Prestigious CuvéesThe AE d’Or range includes VSOP, XO, Extra, as well as Paradis cuvées and limited editions composed of old eaux-de-vie. Each blend is crafted with precision to preserve the balance between aromatic power, elegance, and depth. Recognized in international markets, AE d’Or embodies the prestige of French cognac and appeals to enthusiasts seeking rare and authentic bottles. |
