Domaine Mery-Melrose is an original and authentic vineyard and distillery, located in the heart of the Grande Champagne Premier Cru of Cognac.

There is a marriage of two cultures; Francois Mery's family has lived in this area for generations while his wife, Janis Melrose is a native of Scotland.

The vineyard is "organic", not out of dogmatic principal but because it is the natural way. 

The cognacs are distilled traditionally with all their lees, so that during their maturation they express their characters with intensity and acquire roundness and inimitable flexibility after many years of aging.  These restrictive methods of production are difficult to implement and most often neglected by growers.  However, for Francois it is out of the question to imagine another way.  By using traditional methods and concepts at every stage Francois achieves this wonderful spirit, this liquor of the gods, recreated by the ingenuity of man.
