Presentation of the domain:
In 1702, Jacques distils his first harvest in Biard domain which marks the birth of a long family history.
Nowadays, domain is located in Segonzac in the earth of the Grande Champagne 1st cru extends to a bit less than 10 hectares of vines. Vineyard has a unique soil combines with an extraordinary know-how handed down from generation to generation.
Distillation is made at family house by two copper pot stills of 18 and 25 hectoliters which are part of the last made by hand in the region. Distillery provides extremely fine and aromatic eau-de-vie. Becoming less and less usual in the area, Pierre de Segonzac continues to cut distillation manually by nose to obtain a unique taste on each process.
Presentation of the vintage:
Colour : golden with copper sheen
Bouquet : nuts, honey and dry fruits
Harvested in our estate in 1989 and ageing slowly in oak cask of 90 hectoliters. This Pineau has been aged by Pierre to obtain a unique product. Rich and intense on the palate. Delicious fruity notes with dried apricot and nuts which provide him a complex and unforgettable long finish.
To enjoy with foie gras, exotic fruits or strong cheese such as : Fourme d'Ambert, Roquefort, Comté, sheep...
