Presentation of the domain:

In 1702, Jacques distils his first harvest in Biard domain which marks the birth of a long family history.

Nowadays, domain is located in Segonzac in the earth of the Grande Champagne 1st cru extends to a bit less than 10 hectares of vines. Vineyard has a unique soil combines with an extraordinary know-how handed down from generation to generation.

Distillation is made at family house by two copper pot stills of 18 and 25 hectoliters which are part of the last made by hand in the region. Distillery provides extremely fine and aromatic eau-de-vie. Becoming less and less usual in the area, Pierre de Segonzac continues to cut distillation manually by nose to obtain a unique taste on each process.

Presentation of the vintage:

Colour : deep copper

Bouquet : honey and almond

Silky entry leads to very smooth, sweetish medium-to full-bodied texture with nice honey, marzipan, and black tea-like flavours that envelope the mouth. Finishes with a long and tasty fruit and oak driven fade. A very nice, easy-to-approach cognac.

« This beautiful cognac that we will avoid to serve as a long drink due to his quality, can go well with a grilled almond Macaroon and candied chestnut ice cream, as a French toast with salted caramel ice cream. »
