Presentation of the domain :
Settled in Bouteville since the XVIIth century, the Giraud family maintains, from father to son, a legacy of tradition. Across generations, they have built a stock of old cognacs which make it possible, today, to offer a constant quality and rare Cognacs.
To be sure to maintain the highest quality from the vine to the cognac, they only use grapes from their own vineyard. They are one of the last estates to keep harvesting by hand. The grapes are then softly pressed and this juice is transformed into wine. They pay great attention to the distillation, made in the estate. The ageing in oak barrels is of capital importance as it brings to cognacs their well-known roundness and smoothness. The natural springs flowing in our cellars give them the best conditions for a soft ageing.
Presentation of the vintage :
Cognac more elaborate with a characteristic rancid from old eaux-de-vie.
Perfume vine flower, honey, vanilla and fruit (peach, apricot, plum)
