Presentation of the domain :
The Cognac Godet was born in 1550 with Bonaventure Godet, who wrote the front page of one exciting story: that of a family which bound the fate for more than 460 years to the Cognac.
It is also a family saga with 15 generations which are passed on an invaluable know-how : it's to develop singular brandies. Bonnaventure Godet, Dutch storekeeper, was just like these adventurous generations which, since their ports of Holland, laid the foundations for the first globalization.
He came to settle his own branch in La Rochelle to export brandies towards his homeland of origin.
In 1838, when Augustin Godet ( 10th generation) created its vintage "Gastronome", an undoubtedly new register for period, he launched the " style Godet " who claims dry brandies of a big subtlety on floral notes of beautiful distinction.
Presentation of the vintage :
A crystal decanter mouth blown and hand-decorated with fine gold and containing a cognac aged of 50 years old.
Bouquet: fragrant old Spanish leather, honey Alps and prickly pears.
