Presentation of the domain:
La GABARE is a company independent from trade. Create in 1992 by Jean Grosperrin. Today, the company is almost exclusively dedicated to the selection and to the lélevage of old cognacs and to their distribution.
On average the producers of cognac keep in wine storehouse their brandies decade before selling them. Some of these wine growers, by tradition and because they have the possibility of it, keep every year a part of their harvest which they will make age much more for a long time, and which they will sell 20, 30 or 50 years later to the highest bidder.
Modest ways at first have caractèrisés the debuts of this young familliale company which has for objective to make know about the largest number the exceptional heritage which sleeps in wine storehouse of Charentes
Presentation of the vintage:
The same story as the Big Champagne 1980 and 1971. its peculiarity is to have aged along the walls of the wine storehouse, in a rather wet place. Furthermore, this prize was placed after its distillation in barrels which were new. This cognac stayed then always in the same barrels.
Nose: licorice, spice (cloves, peppers), vanilla. Mouth: progressive, round, smooth even, réglissée. Very powerful, long in mouth. Magnificent with a good strong cigar.
