Cognac XO Fontpinot Frapin

Presentation of the domain :

The Frapin family has been established in the South West of France since 1270, initially as a family wine-growers. Then they becam distillers and have continued in this tradition for 20 generations. They established their headquarters in the Fontpinot Castle at Segonzac.

Today the Frapin estate covers 300 hectares entirely in Grande Champagne, officially listed as Premier Cru de Cognac, of which 200 hectares are planted with the "Ugni-Blanc" grape variety.

The Frapin estate has crumbly, chalky soil, which is identical to the soil in Reims, hence the appellation "Grande Champagne".

Presentation of the vintage :

Chateau Fontpinot is a very old single estate reserve, the family castle is surrounded by 315 hectares of vines

Being exclusively harvested, distilled, aged and bottled at the Domaine, the wine enjoys the rare designation Chateau.

This XO Cognac is the fruit of long aging, particularly in dry cellars, which gives it a subtle bouquet, complex and fine.
